Products description
Historic telescope from around 1930
Product Description
This telescope probably dates back to 1930 and was hand-built. The tube is made from a cannon barrel, and the counterweight is a cannonball. The builder was a piano maker in Munich and Berlin.
The focuser is made of brass and uses 0.96" eyepieces.
The diameter of the optics is approximately 11 cm (110 mm). It is a two-lens refractor with an air gap.
The telescope can be admired in our exhibition. After restoration, we will also offer night-time observations through this telescope.
