Misalignment of binoculars due to tilted lens
Product Description
Looking through the binoculars, we noticed a misalignment of the two optical axes.
Our first instinct would be to collimate the binoculars using the adjustment screws.
Before collimating, however, we took a closer look at the binoculars as a whole.
Upon closer inspection, however, we noticed that one of the two lenses had a minimal gap on one side of its mount.
We then slightly unscrewed the lens. The lens then popped back into the thread with a slightly audible "click."
We looked through the binoculars again, and the telescope no longer showed any tilt of the axes and was ready to use again.
