Recording and experience with Askar SQA55 telescope, Touptek IMX571 camera, SkyWatcher 150i Wave mount and Stellavita

Hello Mr. Kloss,
Another addendum to the other components I purchased from you. Along with the components already described, the Askar SQA55 and the ToupTek ATR2600C, I've expanded it with:

the ToupTek GPCMOS02000KMA guide camera,

the ToupTek OAG L M48,

the Sky-Watcher WAVE 150i mount, and

the ToupTek StellaVita astrocomputer.

The ToupTek GPCMOS02000KMA in combination with the ToupTek OAG L M48
Works discreetly and reliably. The included spacer sleeve fits perfectly, but seems to be compatible only with ToupTek ATR cameras. I'm not sure how I could connect cameras from other manufacturers. The size of the GuideCam's camera chip is perfectly compatible with the OAG's prism. I actually got along better with the OAG than with the smaller one from ZWO. The ZWO one has a prism that's too small for many GuideCams, and therefore doesn't cover the full possible image. The helical focuser also works great. What the ToupTek OAG lacked was complete instructions for all the parts in the box. I have a cover and a few screws left over and wouldn't know where to put them. The link on the manufacturer's website leads nowhere (404 - Page Not Found).
Sky-Watcher WAVE 150i
Great. The mount has been working great from day one. I can even operate it with my old Sky-Watcher SynScan GoTo hand control box v.4, operate it easily via the SynScan Pro app over Wi-Fi, and control it via an astrocomputer also works. The latter works easily via USB or EQMod cable. The ability to balance it as a strainwave mount, thereby increasing tracking accuracy and reducing power consumption, makes it unique at the moment. It works intuitively, reliably, and unobtrusively. It's also very compact and powerful, exactly as I expected. The only thing I had to do was make an adapter for use on my existing tripods with an EQ-5 mount, or rather, I had a second one made for me at a reasonable price (see pictures). But since the manufacturer's website even has a technical drawing of the base, that wasn't a problem at all.
ToupTek StellaVita
It does what it's supposed to. I compared it directly to the ASIAir Mini and StellarMate Pro. Compared to the ASIAir, the interface is less intuitive and the range of functions is significantly less extensive. Once everything is set up and you know how to set up and start a session, it ran reliably, including the Meridan Flip. The support for third-party hardware via INDI drivers is great, similar to the StellarMate, but with a much easier-to-use interface.

Three major drawbacks are the Wi-Fi reception on the mobile device with the app, the update process, and the ability to expand memory and access the internal storage.

Wi-Fi: If you're more than 2-3 meters away from the StellaVita, or if there's an obstacle (wall/window) between the phone/tablet and the StellaVita, the bandwidth drops and the connection becomes unreliable. This is particularly noticeable in the image loading times and can become a problem if you want to quickly intervene in the mount's control during panning. Furthermore, a USB port is used when trying to connect to the home network.
Updates: When I initiate them via the app on my mobile device, they always fail if the phone/tablet goes into standby and I don't have the app in the foreground. This means I have to spend up to 20 minutes constantly tapping the screen with the app open – depending on the size of the update – to ensure the update runs smoothly. Connecting it to the home network via a LAN cable is also recommended.
Storage: Unlike all other competing devices, I can only expand the relatively small internal storage using an SD card, not a USB drive. Accessing the internal storage via network drive is also a bit more complicated than with all other devices. Another thing that can't be done via the app is moving data from the internal storage to the SD card.

The bottom line is that the entire system runs excellently, and I was able to take the two attached images over two nights. The words "reliable, error-free, unobtrusive, and with the desired results" really best describe the operation so far. Exactly as I expected.

The Sky-Watcher 10" Quattro is ready, but unfortunately hasn't been used to any significant extent yet.

Best regards,
Stefan E.
