Repair Meade LX manual tracking / micro adjustment

Problem:
The fine adjustment on the XY dial had become loose.
Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the snap ring, which actually holds the adjustment knob in position, was no longer there.
Later, it became clear that it had come loose along with the XYZ dial and slipped out of the housing right up to the knob.

Solution:
The XYZ dial was reinserted, the snap ring was inserted into the beginning of the opening using snap ring pliers, and gradually pushed further in around the circumference using a thin screwdriver until it was seated in the designated notch.
