Askar 151PHQ Flatfield APO Astrograph - preliminary presentation, data to follow

Askar 151PHQ Quadruplet APO astrograph

The 151PHQ is a flatfield astrograph with a moderately long aperture ratio, which is new to the market after the 130PHQ. Instead of buying additional flatteners, calculating the flattener's back focus, or making a tedious connection to adjust the distance, astrophotographers can simply equip it with all sorts of cameras, keep the object in focus, and then the entire optical system is perfect for imaging .

High-quality photo optics:
The 151PHQ is larger than the 130PHQ and has a 21mm larger opening than the 130PHQ. The Petzval-like quadruplet lens with two ED glasses provides excellent control of chromatic and other aberrations. With its automatic field flattening, the 151PHQ offers great advantages for astronomical recordings. It supports a 60mm center image circle, has a fine spot pattern with tiny edge star distortion, and its central RMS radius is less than 2 micrometers.

The Askar 151PHQ is a real all-rounder. It was designed as a telescope for almost all areas:
♦ With the large corrected field of view, even extended objects can be recorded. In the same way, fine details of objects can be highlighted when high-resolution cameras are used.
♦ The use of different cameras with different focal lengths is not a problem. Simply focus and you are always at the correct distance. The adapter battle is no longer necessary.

The focuser has a large adjustment range, so you can find the focus without any problems.
♦ The working distance or back focus from the 2" receptacle is long enough to be able to use 2" star diagonals. This turns the flatfield apo into a large-field telescope or a planetary telescope, depending on the eyepiece used.

Practical equipment:
The 151PHQ comes with an extendable lens hood, a high-quality CNC milled and painted tube and attractive decorative parts. The stiff 3.4" focuser comes with M68, M54 and M48 adapters and a finder base. In conjunction with the optional 0.7x flatfield reducer (3"), the telescope can have an aperture ratio of approximately 1:5 .6 and a focal length of approximately 870 mm, which effectively shortens the exposure time. The multi-function handle has a central slot for attaching an M6 screw with M6 screw hole. The standard Losmandy dovetail bar, together with the two sturdy pipe clamps, is perfect for observing and recording.

The 3.4" rack and pinion photographic focuser deserves a special mention:
The CNC focuser is optimized for photography and can handle a load of up to 8 kg. The adjustment range is very generous at 110 mm. The extension tube is adjusted via a toothed drive. The toothed drive is decoupled from the bearing of the extension tube. This guarantees fine and precise adjustment even with maximum load. In addition to the 1.25" and 2" receptacle, the focuser also offers threads for screw adaptations.
