Help & prevention in case of deep discharge of batteries/power tanks/power suppliers

Many power tanks still require attention, even if they remain unused for weeks.

Several customers sent us power tanks that, although fairly new, no longer worked and could no longer be charged. In all cases, these were deep discharges, as they had not been used for several weeks or months and therefore had not been charged.

Charging via a wall charger cable is sometimes no longer possible.
However, you should try leaving the charging cable plugged in for several minutes, as sometimes something still moves and the LED lights up, indicating that charging is in progress.

If the wall charger cable no longer helps, there are other options:

A look inside the batteries reveals that, in addition to various circuit boards, a simple lead-acid battery, similar to a standard car battery, is installed. Therefore, just like in a car, charging via cables with alligator clips helps. Connected to the connection sockets (usually) located on the back (sometimes hidden under a flap, but always freely accessible) and connected to a power source with a maximum output of 13.5V.

(Please do not open the tanks yourself, but contact the dealer if all attempts fail!!)

Important: If the battery is deep discharged, you must charge it for at least 38 hours.

Don't be fooled by the PowerTank's LED display,
even if it says "fully charged."

Because at 17A/h with a capacity of 0.45A, the calculator says the charging time is 37.777 hours.

Our tip:
Charge the battery for at least one day after each use and once a month, and also before storing it for an extended period!

A note on the back of the power tanks also indicates that regular charging cycles are necessary:

Which means:

"Important: Charge your PowerTank every 3 months.

To ensure trouble-free use, please always
remember to charge the unit for 24 hours at least every 3 months
in winter and monthly in summer."
