Omegon Pro APO AP 110/660 ED Carbon OTA Apochromatic Refractor
Omegon Apochromat 110mm: more light for beautiful astrophotos
The new Apochromat from Omegon now offers you even more light. With 110mm aperture it shows you more details for even better astrophotos. Compared to its predecessor, it offers you 20% more space, but still remains compact. So let yourself be inspired - by brighter and brilliant images.
The advantages at a glance:
Multi-coating on all optical surfaces
sophisticated aperture system to prevent reflections
very high contrast and pin-fine star images
Light and stable: tube made of carbon
Carbon dew cap lined with felt
Fine focusing: focuser with 1:10 reduction and protective cap
The optics
The Omegon ED apore fracturer stands for excellent optics, well thought-out design and high-quality mechanics. This very special telescope offers astrophotographers, visual observers or nature lovers a unique enjoyment of the starry sky and nature. Needle-sharp stars right into the edge regions of the field of vision are just as much a given as excellent mechanical precision.
The doublet apochromat
TrueColor glasses are installed in the lens of the Omegon ED Duplet Apochromats; the two-lens lens consists of a clever combination of OHARA FPL-53 and S-NBM51 glass. These are ED special glasses with high and low refractive index and best transmission properties. A special feature is the S-NBM51 glass, which is mostly used in apochromatic constructions of fluorescence microscopes. Your benefit: The optics show you the objects particularly sharply and with high contrast! For example, no Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope will show you the subtle differences that you see when observing planets.
The advantages of the carbon tube: Telescope tubes made of carbon are particularly light and therefore perfect for smaller mounts. Carbon has a high level of inherent stability and durability with very low temperature expansion. This latter advantage is particularly useful for astrophotographers: the focus position remains stable - all night long.
Power linear extension with 1:10 reduction
A new improved focuser makes your observation and photography even more pleasant and precise. The Power Linear extension is based on the Crayford principle, but also has a rack as a guide rail. The combination of these two technologies makes the focuser precise and particularly strong. Diagonal mirror, a heavy eyepiece or a whole camera equipment: just connect whatever comes to mind.
It even supports accessories weighing up to 10kg, this is achieved by activating an additional lock screw. Even with great force, the focuser no longer moves a millimeter: once you have found the focus, it no longer changes, even if you change the position of the telescope in the sky.
A 1:10 reduction offers you precise focusing - a must for astrophotography or high magnifications. Do you also take photos with full-format chips or do you plan to do so in the future? Even with full-format cameras, the objects are recorded without vignetting. The entire focuser is rotatable: loosen the locking screw and 360° rotation is possible.
Transport case included
The included aluminum case is an ideal storage place for the valuable optics. Ultra-stable, with carrying handles and metal fittings, it can easily withstand many shocks. Inside there are precisely cut foam shapes that hold the tube exactly as you inserted it.
